Meet the Team: Tracy Gibbs | Warehouse & Assembly Manager
Today we want to tell you about our incredible Warehouse & Assembly Manager, Tracy Gibbs. Tracy is a key part of our daily operations at Sterling Lighting Headquarters, she keep us laughing and BUSY! We know you'll love her as much as we do.

What is your professional background?
I started at the bottom in the wiring harness and electronics field and worked my way up to a Management position. Because of this management position, in addition to my wiring harness and electronics background, I now have a background in machining, warehouse, shipping, receiving, purchasing and office management along with supplier, vendor and customer relationships. I did this for 19 years, then moved over to a tire manufacturing facility as a Manager, and here I learned to work with a Union. I did this for a year, then Sterling Lighting found me and the rest is history... *Grinning* Oh, I have been a Certified IPC Trainer since 2007, specializing in IPC/WHMA-A-620.
What do you think sets you apart in your field?
I believe it would be the fact that I have knowledge of all parts of the Manufacturing process, so I am able to help in all areas. I'm not saying I know everything there is to know (because I'm still learning new stuff everyday), but I know enough to be dangerous!
What professional accomplishment are you most proud of?
I believe it would have to be the promotion from assembler to manager. It was the fact that my manager believed in me enough to give me this promotion because some of what he made me manager of, I had never done and he had faith that I could do it. The management of the wiring harness and electronics was easy for me but I was now manager over a whole building, from the quote process to shipping parts out the door and everything in between, including customer relationships. I also had to learn everything about a machine shop. So, yes, that promotion is what I am most proud of so far!
What are you most excited for at Sterling Lighting?
I am most excited about being able to help Sterling grow. I am happy that I am a part of this growth process going on right now.
What's your favorite memory and/or highlight at Sterling Lighting so far?
I believe it would be when I walked in dressed up like Damien Sanchez on Halloween and got everyone's reactions. We all thought it was funny, I hope Damien did also!

Tell me a little bit about your family, what you love most about them, what makes them special?
My family is my everything, everything I do revolves around them. I have the best husband, that buys me guns or bait casters whenever I want and takes me hunting and fishing as much as possible, I have a daughter and a son that I love with all my heart, and they have given me three of the most precious grandkids ever.
What is your favorite hobby and why?
Favorite Hobbies, fishing and hunting. I love to be outdoors, and the fact that I can do this with my family, especially my grandkids! Me and my husband are just a little bit competitive with each other, so its always fun when we out there seeing who can get the biggest buck, the biggest fish or the most rabbits! We also keep the freezer stocked up!
